Bill Keck, Salon Director of William Wesley Grand Salon and Spa in Davenport, IA which is the largest Day Spa in the state of Iowa employing 63 professionals recently expanded to Iowa City, IA opening Blaze, the newest hair color salon in the Iowa City/Coralville area. His son Noah currently attends La’James International College in Iowa City. When asked why LJIC? Mr. Keck responded, “I could have my son go anywhere to cosmetology school and I picked La’James International College so Noah would get the best start to manage our salon. LJIC is the 'Modern Movement in the Industry' offering global learning opportunities which open the minds of the students to learn more about people which is exactly what you need in the service business and to aspire students to think out-of-the-box LJIC hosts an annual Trend Vision Competition." This competition brings all 7 campuses together to compete for a grand prize all expense paid educational opportunity. Trahvae Freraire is a graduate of La’James International College (Cedar Falls, IA) has expanded his career in many avenues. As owner of the exclusive Trahvae Freraire Studio in Des Moines, Iowa he is an active community supporter involved in various events and local organizations donating hair, makeup skills, and most importantly, time. He has worked from New York to Las Vegas and everywhere in between to sculpt and style hair, as well as provided makeup services for celebrity clientele. Since 2002 he has worked actively for the world news giant CNN as a Hair and Makeup artist working with many political figures, including a well-known former first lady. He excels in multi-cultural hair sculpture, extensions - both hair and eyelash, chemical work and is a master in design and makeup. This well rounded LJIC graduate became support staff to LJIC, Des Moines campus, in the fall of 2008. His entrepreneurial expertise offers student the opportunity for exponential growth and career development through participation in the Backstage/Onstage program.
